My passion: INSPIRE PEOPLE TO TAKE THE LEAP TO A MINDFUL LIVING
Born and bread in Barcelona, mediterranean at heart. I lived in London for almost 9 years. There I worked as a manager for one of the best hotels in the world. I had a great job. As I was progressing in the career ladder I realised there was something missing. I had everything but I wasn't 'consistently' happy.
I have willingness and curiosity so I started a journey of exploration, I was hungry to know what needed to change to experience a happier and healthier life.
I didn't know those concepts then. What was missing was that I wanted to live a more authentic and meaningful life. Over the last 14 years I've been curious to find ways to live a life that reflects my deepest desires, values and needs.
I've been practicing & studying yoga for the last 16 years and started teaching 5 years ago. Through the ancient practice of yoga and meditation in their many forms I gained self-knowledge. Eventually realising that in order to sustain a happier and more fulfilled life I needed to implement certain lifestyle habits to support a healthier, more creative and mindful life.
My entrepreneurial mind has brought me here. Two years ago I created arimateu, a space to share and inspire people to experience and hone the skills of mindfulness, happiness and meaningful living.
Nutrition, movement and nature are areas that I continuously keep exploring/studying
Mediator and Thai Massage Therapist
Rachel has been studying and exploring the art of Thai massage for many years. Her original inspiration for learning Thai massage came from yoga classes and a deep connection with Thailand which began in the 90s when she volunteered with a Burmese women’s refugee project in Chiang Mai. There is a strong connection between Thai massage and the Buddhist practice of loving-kindness which is very grounding experience. Rachel offers a gentle, patient, but also enthusiastic presence and is very excited to be able to share the simple beauty of northern Thailand and its culture with others.
